Community mobilization for experimental temporary urban design interventions in government parks.
This research project explores and test how the use of temporary urban design interventions can be a valuable strategy in transforming lifeless public spaces in Hong Kong. This research aims to implement 3 temporary urban design interventions in 3 types of underused public spaces (sitting-out areas, rest gardens, and playgorunds) by soliciting the input of the community and examining their impact on the space and people's behaviour. I was involved in the early stage to navigate through the policies and grant the land use permit for tactical urbanism experiments in government parks.
