What if our public spaces allow different usages? Co-creation and research with MDW in Hong Kong.
The project extends from an academic research exercise “Out of the Ordinary". After the analysis of Kina Slott, a leisure palace, I continued to explore the notion of leisure. The project began as a reflection of leisure space typologies, then developed into an urban research of what are the possibilities of public spaces in Hong Kong, through the case study of migrant domestic workers.
After one year, facilitated by Enable Foundation, me and Leeh Ann Hidalgo (Filipino MDW, Community Organiser, Educator Photographer) had a series of co-creation workshops at Oil Art Space to explore the plurality of our public spaces.
